Central Jakarta Checks 110 Sacrificial Animals in Kemayoran

Central Jakarta Government checked 110 sacrificial animals (qurban) in several animal shelters in Kemayoran.

We want to ensure the animals health condition

Central Jakarta Mayor, Bayu Meghantara conveyed, those animals consist of 40 cows and 70 goats.

"These sacrificial animals have been checked at their origin areas. We want to ensure the animals health condition," he stated, Wednesday (7/22).

North Jakarta Promotes Online Qurban Animals Slaughtering

He advised residents to buy sacrificial animals that have been examined by Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency.

"Alhamdulilah, sacrificial animals on the location have been checked. All animals are healthy and meet the animal health requirements," he mentioned.

Meanwhile, the Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Acting Head (Plt), Suharini Eliawati conveyed, sacrificial animal slaughtering process has been regulated in the Gubernatorial Instruction (Ingub) No. 43/2020 concerning the Controlling, Shelter, Selling, and Slaughtering Sacrificial Animals in Commemorating Eid al-Adha 2020/1441 Hijri during the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to her, that Ingub mentioned about location where sacrificial animals will be slaughtered should be in accordance with the recommendation from the local mosque administrators.

"We have deployed 95 personnel to check condition of sacrificial animals before and after slaughtering," she stated.
